New Mitsubishi Pajero Sport leaked ahead of unveil

Mitsubishi recently started teasing the new SUV which will make its official debut in Thailand on August 1, 2015. The new Pajero Sport''s arch-rival, the next-gen Toyota Fortuner, saw an early reveal via a set of leaked photos recently. As seen in the leaked patent drawings, the Pajero Sport gets Mitsubishi''s signature Dynamic Shield''styling with an X-shaped grille and LED daytime running lamps. The side profile of the new Pajero Sport carries forward the look of the earlier car, but the rear styling now gets triangular tail lamps which strangely carry on downwards. This next-gen Pajero is expected to be a global one, and will feature a range of petrol and diesel engines. The primary engine for the new Pajero sport will be an all-new 2.4-litre turbo-diesel motor good for 178bhp and 43.85kgm of torque, routed via four-wheel drive and mated to either a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. The cabin is likely to share its basic layout with the Triton pick-up truck, but will come loaded with features including Apple’s CarPlay and Google’s Android Auto smartphone integration. Depending on the trim level, the Pajero is likely to get kit such as a touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, keyless entry and go, powered front seats, powered wing mirrors, rear parking sensors and reversing camera. When the new Pajero Sport comes to India, it will replace the current model, and could demand a slight premium. It will rival the likes of the upcoming Chevrolet Trailblazer, new Toyota Fortuner and the upcoming new Ford Endeavour. Courtesy: Autocar

2015 BMW X6 launch on July 23

BMW''s new X6 gets a lot more desirable design and more power similar to that seen on the X5 SUV BMW will launch the 2015 BMW X6 on July 23. The X6 originally was introduced to the world in 2008 as a unique Sports Activity Coupe. BMW could manage to sell a quarter of a million X6 units despite its oddball styling. Now the 2015 X6 looks a lot more desirable than before and comes with a slightly more powerful engine that it shares with the new X5. Smarter lights, a sculpted new bumper and a new grille take centre stage and the new alloy wheel designs build on its appeal. Special effort seems to have gone into making the rear look more pleasant so you see better taillamp detailing and design, a neatly finished diffuser and two split exhausts. The X6 will be available with a V8 petrol in the xDrive 50i, a straight-six diesel in the 30d which we are now familiar with as it is borrowed from the X5 xDrive 30d and a M50d which gets three turbochargers fitted to the straight six diesel. A 35i and 40d variant are part of the lineup but we expect India to get the 30d and 40d on priority. The 30d develops 262PS of power and 560Nm of torque and the 40d dishes out 317PS. The X6 was known to have a harsh ride which wasn’t much of a concern abroad but for Indian users, it was. The rear air suspension with adaptive damper control should smooth things out better and offer a more pliant ride. The X6 is also 22 percent more efficient says BMW due to addition of the Eco Pro mode and an aero package that should come as standard on the India bound X6. The interior too gets a massive update in the quality of materials used and the added features. Courtesy: Zigwheels
